You know 1.3.6 is several versions behind, yeah?
Yeah - it’s what’s supported by our 3d printer. The install does seem to work with later versions. I just filed the issue, because the log says "please file a bug report". Apologies for any inconveniences if 1.3.6 was unsupported.
1.3.10 is current. It's weird that your system is trying to build Pillow (PIL). That's what I'd look into.
Hi @ZAMHelmets
I've been specifically choosing packages which are pre-compiled and available for the RaspberryPi. While this isn't directly related to Octoslack, I don't mind trying to debug this with you.
Can you share a bit about the device/OS you're using?
For context, I have multiple Rasberry Pi 3B+ devices running OctoPi 0.15.1 (https://github.com/guysoft/OctoPi) and they have no issues installing this plugin and its dependencies. For bonus context, I've been avoiding using packages like Numpy solely because a precompiled version is not available and I've not been willing to subject users to a 30minute+ compile time just for this plugin. If you're not using OctoPi, I suspect you don't have the right repos setup for your device/OS and/or doesn't have the correct packages installed to compile these packages from source (assuming that'swhat you intend to do).
Closing due to inactivity and the simple fact that Octoslack itself was unlikely at fault here.
Sorry. I’ve been traveling and waiting for a fix from the print vendor to see if that resolved the issue. Will post here again if I isolate the issue to Octoslack. Thanks.
