Dark Souls 2 SotFS Edition controller mapping problems #1133

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
PLEASE READ LIBRARIES MANUAL BEFORE REPORTING ISSUES:
http://bit.ly/1I6QAb9

Always make sure you use latest x360ce libraries!
Bugs created using older versions will be marked invalid as user error.
r848 vc10 is currently the latest version.

Steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin
2.Fiddle with controller

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
-Expected output is the controller working as mapped in x360ce. However, the
controller instead has several controls working wrongly, like R2 producing a
Start output and L2 producing a Select output. Also, this version of DS2 seems
to straight up ignore x360ce, because the exact same problem exists even after
removing all x360ce files from the game folder.

What versions of x360ce and Windows are you using?
-Latest versions, gotten from the Downloads page. Windows 8.1.

What gamepad do you use? On what drivers version?
-Gioteck VX-2. Driver version is 6.3.9600.17041, obtained from Device Manager.

Please attach a log file created with Log=1 setting in x360ce.ini file.
(LOG MUST BE FROM THE GAME, NOT X360CE)
-Can't seem to get a log.

Failure to follow the template will result in your issue being marked as
invalid.

Same problem here.
windows 8
game version: DX11
gamepad: Logitech dualshock 2
newest drivers

This game version (SCHOLAR OF THE FIRST SIN) was released on April 1th and the
game seems to completely ignore x360ce.
I was perfectly playing older versions of the same game with this older version
of x360ce mentioned here:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/211420/discussions/0/864974276845360317/

but no version of x360ce (neither older or newest) is working with this release.

I think you use to old gdb file, or executable file name was changed.

unless its been made 64bit, the exe should still be DarkSoulsII.exe

but the xinput dll name may have been changed.

@tapcio & @danialho: so what should I do in order DarkSoulsII.exe to recognize
x360ce?

Original comment by hgastera...@gmail.com on 5 Apr 2015 at 8:36

Yes, it is 64bit : http://store.steampowered.com/app/335300/

You require to use 64bit libraries to make it work: http://bit.ly/1I6QAb9

@tapico
thank you very much! It works! Just need to change the ini file too.

Change in ini should not be require if you use gdb file.
