Works fine for me. Go to the Game Settings first to change the control device
if you want to see the buttons in the Button Mappings.

i also have the same problem.
at first it worked just some problems in navigating menu,
i also noticed that in the setting the gamepad was known as undefined,
isn't supposed to be xbox360 controller?
i also try the compatibility setting 3 (hook setting set to all? i used .ini
file for reference)

My controller's left and right triggers are being used as Start and Back keys.
Cannot seem to change that no matter what settings i use in the emulator
program. Any solutions?? I am using a Saitek P2900 Wireless Controller.

Your problem is a hardware settings issue, try toggling between analog mode and
non.It should work then.

Same here. My controller jumps options on the menu and does not work at all.

Where do you change compatibility settings on the program, if that is the
solution you guys found?

I am using a DualShock ps2 controller with a Seatech Usb adapter. x360ce reads
it as "twinshock Usb Joystick".

I used it, and at first, it didn´t work. I tried to run the program to check
if it needed to get automatically detected. It did. At first, it worked like a
charm, all buttons enabled, during the first mission of the game. Then it just
simply stopped working. The menus were still working, just the butons and the
sticks were not. I don´t really know what to do, i see no reason for the input
to cease being recognized from one minute to the other.

It is not a hardware problem because the Joystick works just as well during
menus.

After agonising over this for a few hours last night, I found something that
worked for me.

If your controller's buttons are MAPPED CORRECTLY, but they are still doing
weird things in game (for example trigger buttons behaving as start/back), try
starting the game BEFORE you plug in the controller. Plugging in the controller
AFTER the game started made my generic USB controller work properly.

This is a solution that was suggested when Xbox360 controllers wouldn't work
with the game...

Incidentally, does anyone know what the right thumbstick y-axis should be
mapped to? I have it set as -4 at the moment but it doesn't register, Left
stick axes are correct at x=1,y=-2 and for right stick x=3 works.

I use a dual Playstation 2 to PC USB adapter. I had the same problems listed
here. But, I got it to work after using version 2.0.2.163 of x360ce. I set the
Hook Mode to All and made sure xinput9_1_0.dll was checked off.

Everything worked great in the menu, but in game the axis didn't work and
several buttons acted as the start button. I switched my Playstation 2
controller to the 2nd port on my adapter and everything finally worked
correctly.

I have this adapter -

I've set everything up for my controller for the game and have got most
everything working..... I get the issue mentioned above with the analog stick
skipping menu items, but I can live with that and just use the dpad instead. I
can't live without the bumpers working though! Anybody know how to get them
operational? They seem like they're set up fine in the config, but them seem to
be incorrectly mapped to Pause and Start in game as others have reported.

I'm having issue too. I've tried everything I can find on the net. Right
trigger acts as pause and and X and A are switched... also no camera action at
all with the right stick. I've ran all possible versions of x360ce but still
nothing. It seems to appears to create the settings in CE, and builds the
files fine, but it's like it doesn't take when you trigger the game executable.
 HELP!!

I have the exact same problem mentioned in the last comment. The right Trigger
acts as start button.....and the Right analogue stick doesn't work so cant move
the camera.
I've mapped my controller x360ce without any issues inside the software, but it
has no affect inside the game or menu.
Anyone got a fix?! Really looking forward to playing this title.
