set console=1 in ini
open x360ce
select force feedback tab

drag left or right test slider
screenshot console window

now do the same with a game known to have vibration

post both.

There is no indication in your log that the game attempted to rumble.

okkkkey, my friend.

1. FF test of x360ce in "Braid" directory
2. FF test in standalone x360ce.exe (so,the same i think)
3. testing with log in "Bioshock" (gamepad and vibration is ON - in red frame,
sry in-game-text in russian) + attached text log of running game

Braid and Bioshock have FF feature

I already have a little headache with this problem)))i dunno what iam doing
wrong...

I hope u will help me. And sry for english..

Thanks in advance!

x360ce 3.3.1.540 ... go to comment #5 :)

Original comment by tapcio on 16 Feb 2013 at 9:47

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
you must use the DLL i provided in c5 (comment 5)

In the demo, the rumble works without any hookmasks in my testing.

Original comment by danialho...@gmail.com on 16 Feb 2013 at 9:47

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The use of rumble in this game is very sparse, you feel it more bouncing off an
enemy or jumping from a high mesh ladder

Did a clean install of Braid demo in Program Files (x86), used DLL from #5 post
for x360ce...

No FF (((((and its a message that "Configuration file does not match x360ce
version..."

What iam doing wrong??? Iam going to eat my brainzzzz))))

Hello again!
Today iam going to test P480 gamepad on another PC running 32 bit Windows 7.

I will report later. If i would be lucky - i think its a problem of current 64
bit system. If the problem remains, i'll use any remote program / or make a
video rec for u.

Thanks!Iam going to finish this bastard Saitek)))

3. "Braid" is going flawlessly but NO rumble
4. Changed dll from post #5 (screenshot of warning) but "Braid" going

change FFB type to type 2 in x360ce
insert version=1 in x360ce ini directly in the [options] section

install DirectX using webupdater
install VS2010 SP1 runtime (or 2012 update1 if using tapcio's uploads)

This game -works- with minimal configuration on my system, so i know the dll is
not to fault

"install DirectX using webupdater

Done for the first time using x360ce

Again game running flawlessly except the force feedback

Here is my ini and braid log

Maybe we should look in drivers for gamepad???
I rly dunno whats the problem

Great thanks to u that looking for solution, we must beat this issue.
Should i show u in video rec or remotely what iam doing? (if u have a time of
coz)

Iam going to donate if we will finish this mess))

Thanks in advance!

something odd is going on with the p480 ffdriver for sure.

Fedit seemingly can generate the Sawtooth effects correctly, but only one motor
works in the x360ce type 2 tests, and this switches if you tick switch motors
according to dimitri

His system was where i generated the P480 crash on exit dmps from.

Original comment by danialho...@gmail.com on 21 Feb 2013 at 11:12

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The first thing is confusing me - impossibility to set up desired force
intensity in test effect page option, its nonsense!

And the second - fedit working flawlessly in all tests, with the latest 604
library x360ce rumble test working correctly either (and NO WAY - in type 2
both motors working as it should be, swapping is correct too) BUT
RumbleController.exe (for example) crashes on exit, ff not working within app
=/ crash is pointing to dinput8.dll

Iam soooo confused ;x

Original comment by center.m...@gmail.com on 21 Feb 2013 at 1:10

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Its me again ;x

Now testing "Serious Sam HD Second Encounter"
Have tried x360ce_libraries_r642_x86 - something odd noticed:

1. Iam running game in window with working x360ce console, so if iam
concentrating mouse pointer on console window (game like in background) i feel
constant rumble with FF type 1 (and the last motor vibro move in type 2)
2. One time there was a constant vibration directly in game!!! but how i dunno,
cos it doesnt happens again =/
3. Ive examined drivers CD from gamepad box and had noticed that such install
brings "ffdriver32.dll" and "ffpagestd.dll" to /system32 directory but opposite
installing saitek.com drivers doesnt even wanna create these dll's.

CD install brings crash with HID.dll after gamepad calibration, saitek.com
driver doesnt ;x

TY and w8ing for some news, if u got a little time for me ;p

Cheers!

Hym, this means DISCL_BACKGROUND or DISCL_EXCLUSIVE is not used. Try use this:
http://virusdev.ovh.org/files/xinput1_3.dll
I fixed improper usage of FILED/SUCCEEDED macros in error printlogs.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Hello,Tapcio! ;p

1. As i mentioned in #47 post iam already using r642 and the problem remains!
FF goes in evasion with active game window, rumble starts when iam
concentrating on console window. Its for "Serious Sam"
2. Finally ive got good news!!! ;p yuuppy;p with FF type 1, ive got a veeeery
little vibration in specific moment of "Bioshock"!!!!!its not working properly
with constant strikes on enemies or i.e. walls BUT it works in a cutscene!!!!!

Values in console are pretty strange coz it seems to be a max.

Iam sure that it should be a way to raise up the force intensity =))))
Motors are working and i can feel it))))
