Pick chassis design #16

Should we use the 6-wheel chassis we got in the KOP? People on Twitter seem to like it; you can see a bit more of the finished chassis in this video.

The chassis seems to leave a bit more room for floor-pickup mechanisms between the wheels. The smaller wheels also will make a slower robot than our prototype - which is probably a good thing.

I think that we should use the one in the kit of parts. I found the 3d model of the fully assembled version and I have found that the wheels are almost completely protected by the siding. They are also flush with the top of the chassis so a board can be mounted above them without hindering their movement.

Is there closure on this issue? If so, please document the decision.

The team is in favor of using the KOP chassis, though the exact dimensions are TBD. We think we're going with a wide chassis that's 23" long and 32" wide.

Closing.
