10 years ago FrePPLe is a planning and scheduling solution. It is NOT an ERP or MES solution. In my view, it is out of scope to record or track the actual progress according to the plan.
What we do have in our roadmap is to compute a "criticality index" for the manufacturing and purchasing operationplans. Operations where progress is less than required will move to the critical path, and will get a higher criticality index. This will create a good heat map of the critical portions of the plan.
Freeple is a very good planning system, with very simple and intuitive interface, but is missing the plan status update feature based on real data buffer status. Could be a good improvement to have possibility to update the buffers for a released plan and review the plan if is still on time or there is some delay based on new buffer status Otpimal is to color the plan with % of progress with respect with the plan
