Getting the .crx file for use with selenium #84

Hello, Is there a way to get the chrome extension file for using with selenium?

I clearly missed this question given it's from way back in July.

I am very interested in the why this would need to be a thing. Never been asked this one so perhaps there's a whole string of others with the same need.
