Use of capitals to denote single vs file #2

I personally find the use of lowercase vs uppercase a brilliant way of deferentiating between a single item vs a file of items, an example being;

-p 22 -P listofports.txt

Additionally, the use of -O or -o as output files? If we follow the the above as a basis to build off of then a capital letter would fit better?
