In 2015 I was attending a State College near my home for a technical degree in Electrical Engineering. Kids don't think when they sign up for stuff. Sometimes they worry more about what there parents will think and whether or not they approve. I was that kid. The state college was a decent education for a kid who did awful in High School but I thought I needed more, so I dropped an application to a University in Buffalo, NY to study Aerospace Engineering. Lucky for me I got accepted, transferred my credits, and was heading up there for the spring semester of 2016. I had never been in a college atmosphere like that with dorms and all. On my floor I met a Punjabi kid who was in my program by coincidence. We became friends and he introduced me to more of his friends, Sikh Punjabi kids. That's when I started to pick up words or short phrases in their language, also called Punjabi, like the demonym for their people in English.
