Replicates on multiple games, tested GBA games Drill Dozer and Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart, Final Fantasy V, Breath of Fire

GBC Game: Dragon Quest 1&2 GB Game: Ceasars Palace

Firmware 1.0A does not resolve issue.

I have this issue on firmware 1.0B, despite a fix being listed in the release notes.

I can confirm this issue also occurs on firmware 1.1.
