Will this work on other distributions such as Fedora once you are running Gnome?

The current implementation depends on nvidia-prime which is Ubuntu specific. If you use ubuntu based distro then you can use nvidia-prime and this package.

This package is just a wrapper for easy changin the prime profile and logout with one click and without asking for password.
