the Roborock S7?
not sure, mostly because I don't have one and haven't kept up with where the models nor firmware have gone since I built this, but I would be surprised to hear that it bricked a vacuum, at most I would assume you simply not be able to apply it. I can tell you that this voice pack has continue to work just fine, surviving all the stock firmware pushes since (my S5G2 is currently on 3.5.8.2034), and I haven't noticed any new prompts that aren't covered by my original pack. But your S7 might have more, someone would need to grab the firmware file and check out a prompt folder to see.
a custom voice pack for my model
happy to help you, and have you either submit as a push to this repo, or guide you through making your own.
I do have another S5 new in the box that I am planning to put in another part of my home, and was thinking about making a 2nd female voice (perhaps UK English again since we love "Phil" still) for it.
Lovely! I guess my first step should be to try and install your prompt pack to see if the tooling will work. If that's successful, I'd get back to ask for some directions or help in creating a new one.
Hi!
I've just purchased a Roborock S7 and was loking into ways to make my own voice pack for it. I am a little bit of a voice actor, and would love to do some exceptionally silly prompts.
My question is:
Will the tools present in this repo allow me to safely add a prompt package to the Roborock S7? The last thing I'd want would be to brick the machine...
Secondary question - since you've expressed opennes to produce additional voice packs in the future - I wpould be willing to help as hobbyist voice actor. I'd love to make a custom voice pack for my model, and I'd be happy to share all my work under CC-0 license for everyone to enjoy.
