Postcode revalidation is weird #4

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I gave a bullshit postcode (sw1e isv) and it said 'can't find'.
The rest of the address was totally fabricated.

It then jumped to Belsize Park (which is clever, because that's where I
actually live, and nowhere near the postcode I supplied, and right now, I'm in
a hotel in SF).

When I changed the postcode to something valid (sw1w 9tq, google offices), and
clicked 'check address' again, it kept going to belsize park.
Strange.

Hey Chewy-

We've changed the way the geocoding works -- now it does it on the fly. Can you
try
this?

Unfortunately, I think that I may have to special-case UK handling, since we
don't
geocode full postcodes in the API, and that might lead to issues. Can you give
me
some sample UK city/postcodes to try?

Also, does the UK have a notion of states?
