Pea Physics (Showcase example) getting slower on Android after adding more and more peas #65

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Run the Showcase example on the Android and choose the Pea Physics.
Add more and more peas. I've added 30 peas, and then I noticed that the example 
is getting slower and that animation is not smooth.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect that I should be able add objects and that the example should have 
smooth animation all the time.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm running the example on the Android 2.2 (Samsung Galaxy S)

Please provide any additional information below.
In addition, I downloaded AndEngine framework examples through the Android 
Market just to see its behavior and I managed to add at least 100 objects and 
animation was still realy smooth.

I hope that this will be fixed because otherwise the Physics part of the PlayN 
framework will not be useful on the Android devices.

I would like to add that there is also an issue of being able to add peas to 
block, and they will be stuck. Should I file another issue?

I would suggest opening another issue, because I think that they are not 
related.

I would be surprised if Dalvik ran slower than V8 Javascript. I would want to 
isolate whether it is Box2D performance or rendering performance, by puting 
timing statements before/after the Box2d code is run. Also, it could be  
problems with garbage collection vs CPU. More research is needed.

I am trying to play with PlayN :) and i found something interesting, i had a 
lot of perfomance problems in the game i was trying to do. On GLAXSY S 2 

Anyway  when i was trying to solve the problem i saw that instead of reloading 
the same image over and over again e.g. (Block) i save it in a chache and each 
time I need it I am reusing it from the cache. this is working fine now. 

i think it can help solve this problem.
