Installing to drive in Virtualbox #2

Open JonnyTech opened 6 years ago

Trying to install polYdev to a newly created virtual drive in Virtualbox fails with errors. The iso boots and brings me to a root prompt. Running pyvinst and selecting ada0 (2Gb clean virtual drive) then goes through the process but there are lots of messages flying by about insufficient disk space. How can I log these errors in order to report them here?

Hello Jonny.

Did you try to install polYdev the "classical gui" way ? When the iso has booted and brings you to the root prompt, Run pyv .

This should load X graphic interface. Then choose install in the menu list.

PS: 1) I do not use Virtualbox (problem with usb on Linux Mint) but VMware (and works perfectly). 2) Not sure that 2GB will be enough to install FreeBSD system + swap disk. IMO 8 GB will be the minimum.
