PMKs speed not accurate with pyrit attack_passthrough #273

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. pyrit -r capfile -i dict attack_passthrough

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tried 40002 PMKs so far; 1112 PMKs per second.

In fact, it takes 18s to calculate 10000 PMKs, that's about 600 PMKs/sec.
I'm just expecting the right speed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Pyrit-0.4.0, Ubuntu 10.10.

Please provide any additional information below.
CPU only. Atom 330 (dual core, 4 threads), 400% CPU usage.
pyrit benchmark is ok.

you think thats inaccurate, wait until you try to generate tables with a
dedicated sql server, itll say 0PMK/s for 90% of the time, while work unit,
after work unit are clearly being processed.
