Hi Fellow Dymo Owners !,

look, while the git hub is great to build the device, i am missing the part on how to connect and inject the code from my PC.

I was not able to find a step by step guide on how to do that on youtube or anywhere else, im confident i can do it, but i need some guidance, anyone willing to point me in the right direction please ?

Thank you !

Hey,

So if I understand you correctly, you understand how to physically incorporate the BluePill into the hardware, but you're unclear on how to program the BluePill itself?

This is coming from memory - and it may not be step-by-step enough for you but I will try.

1) I downloaded all the binaries (.bin's) because I was unsure what labels I'd use from time to time. I might use address labels one day, and maybe a shipping label the next. Also, I wanted to get all the label profiles while they were available, and not have them removed for any legal reasons or whatever. Disk space is cheap.

2) Read the appropriate binary with "STM32 ST-LINK Utility" (this is the app that programs the BluePill). Then write it to the BluePill. You'll likely need/want this or something like it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SQV6VLZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think I got it from st.com

3) I used the Picoblade cable connections rather than solder the pill in place (I guess that was an option). I figured I might need to remove it at some point or whatever. I had to buy 3 different kinds of connectors until I got it right. I'm using a Dymo 5XL - it does NOT use JST, etc; connectors. It uses a Molex 6 pin Picoblade.

I dunno if this is enough info to help you or not. It's been a minute since I did it & I'm old and medicated (and GitHub isn't my favorite place!).

Hope this or someone else can help.

Good Luck!
