not able to erase loop and get the help

Hi there, I am trying to use freewheeling, but unfortunately I am unable to 1) delete loops, each time I press the space bar and a letter the app crashes, and when I press the shift to then press the 7 I get out a snap window and the bar only adds two star on the seven. The same thing happens if I press ctrl, what am I missing and how do I get to the help menu? I am using ubuntu 18.04 and freewheeling is installed using apt-get

i can reproduce that crash with the debian9 package - there is no problem when v0.6.5 is compiled from source on debian9 though - you should probably open a bug report against ubuntu or debian; suggesting that an upgrade to v0.6.5 may fix the problem

there is an open BR now against debian unstable; because fluidsynth v1 has been removed - they are aware that v0.6.5 supports fluidsynth v2; but no one has upgraded it yet - they are asking for help from users to test the new package; so you may want to reply to that BR too

i built some v0.6.5 packages today on the OBS, if you would like to use that for now

WRT the snapshots; i dont remember off-hand; but the asterisks are probably just the default name of the snapshot, simply indicating that a snapshot is stored in that slot - snapshots are described in several places in the ChangeLog file - i think it is the only documentation for that feature

the help system is a list of the default keybindings - the '/' slash key toggles it's visibility - it shows the same information as the "Default Key Bindings" wiki page

One can find a Freewheeling 0.6.5 .deb package in Librazik's repos. It should work with Debian 9 and 10 without issues. Also succesfully tested on Ubuntu 16.04 variant. https://download.tuxfamily.org/librazik/pasapas/pool/main/f/freewheeling/.
