Fix (most of) the tests failing in https://github.com/freedomjs/freedom-for-chrome/pull/89

This is pretty ugly but :+1: for functioning at all.

Yeah, agreed - unfortunately non-apps Chrome and apps Chrome want different things right now... there may well be a better solution, but I'm going to go ahead with this in the name of better-than-status-quo for now. Thanks!
