Tor Messenger is currently beta, but it should probably replace Pidgin/ Adium as our recommended OTR solution in the coming months. Zero-configuration OTR routed over Tor is a huge win compared to getting this set up in Pidgin/ Adium in GNU/Linux and especially OS X and Windows. Since it's official Tor Project software, we can trust it will be of high quality.
