Tails now defaults to Icedove #218

Closed psivesely closed 8 years ago

Tails no longer uses Claws by default. It does include it for compatibility with persistent volumes that were created before Icedove (Thunderbird rebranded by Debian) was made the default mail client. Therefore, this warning is no longer relevant for new Tails users.

This information is still relevant for people with older Tails installations that they've upgraded, though. Upgraded users should know that Claws is deprecated and to use Icedove instead. Can we make this transparent rather than deleting the old info?

psivesely commented 8 years ago

Yeah, I'll keep that info there for people who are using older versions of Tails and encourage them to switch to Icedove.

Good call on preserving the warning. That is a pretty serious security flaw, so keeping the warning might yet help a few people out.
