Since we're close to launching EW 2.0, I think it's safe to remove the out-of-date warning from the top of the document.
That said, I've been thinking of/writing a draft of sundry details -- who wrote/edited EW, when we published 1.0 and 2.0, a link to contributing, a call to action, etc -- which may replace it.
