Improved filter form date range widget #711

Currently selecting a date range on the filter form looks like this:

This is functional, but it's pretty unwieldy for certain use cases. Some design work is needed here but an improved design would include:

[ ] one-click selection for common cases "this year", "last year", "past 30 days" (we should decide what these cases are)
[x] an improved date picker widget that lets you easily shift month or year (it's possible our current date picker already supports this and we just need to adjust the configuration)

I wonder if we can get any analytics stats to determine what date ranges people commonly look at...
