Final rundown of changes and cleanup needed for deploying the demo Secure the News site for private review before the public release.

Do not merge yet—there are still some outstanding changes that I want to make in this branch before it is ready to merge.

This is working beautifully. Not only does the site render sanely even with zero scan results, the new management commands make db initialization a breeze. LGTM! +1 for merge. :shipit:

@conorsch Thanks! I'm doing a rundown of open issues now to make sure this is ready to merge.

There are still some open questions about deployment and the differences between the production and development environments, but they can be addressed in follow-ups.
