GtalkSMS makes me spend more money #78

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use a contract which gives you 100 free sms to certain numbers
2. Use GtalkSMS to send messages to these numbers
3. Check your traffic

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Traffic should be the same as before, since the sms are free.
Instead GtalkSMS forces the request of a "delivery confirmation" if it's called 
this way, which costs as a standard sms (for me 0.15 EUR) so if you send 30 
free sms you end up paying 30 sms!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Last version on Android 2.1 (HTC Wildfire).

Please provide any additional information below.
You should disable by default any confirmation and alert the user if it's 
activated. Thank you.

If you disable sent & delivered notifications are you still charged for sms?

It's the first time I heard that we can be charged for sms notification...

I disabled it in the standard SMS app and AFAIK even in the settings of the 
app. In Italy it's common practice to pay for these notifications, and also for 
the carriers to steal money in any other way possible for useless things such 
those. :)

Do you mean "status notification icon" or "show sent sms"? If it's the latter, 
it's already disabled...

Preferences --> Notification settings --> SMS sent
and
Preferences --> Notification settings --> SMS delivered

Sorry but if I fire up the preferences I get 2 buttons for applications 
preferences and a strange symbol which opens the account settings + 1 button 
for information. I can't find the notification settings. My version is 1.7.2...

The button has a picture like an "i" in a circle.
When you click on preference button in gtalksms main screen, it's the last item 
at the buttom right corner

I always thought it was an "About this software" button. :( I'm really sorry... 
Without "sms delivered" it works. Maybe changing icon would be a good idea. :P
