Mark, presumably you're talking about the "create" page? This is deliberate, as I found that if you change the template on the create page, the page reloads as normal but it refreshes back to a normal resource create screen, not the create screen for the Webinar CRC.
I tried to figure out how to fix that and couldn't, so I removed the template dropdown instead. If you save the resource with the default template it should take you to the update screen, where you can change the template as normal.
