Something I've heard from a couple people is that we're just not begging for donations enough. In that vein, I want to try something that I've seen other extensions do, which is to pop up some kind of fundraising page or notification.
I think the easiest way to do this is to provide a version upgrade that pops up a new tab (this is how many other extensions do this), and then to make a plea for donations in that tab. With any luck, people would give some quantity of money, and we'd be able to pay my salary next year.
This will tie in with the annual end-of-year fundraising that I'm working on too.
