Can you please clarify what is meant by 'updated my phone', did you update the iOS version, or something more?
Please make sure that you take an 'encrypted' backup, otherwise the Apple Keychain items(tokens) are not included.
Backup and restore is tested using the normal Apple procedures in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
If you are able to reproduce this issue please provide more detail about how to reproduce, iOS/Phone/FreeOTP version etc.
Are you saying if I create and use a new Apple ID on a new phone I will not be able to restore a freeotp backup?
I lost mine doing a straight transfer using iCloud with the phone
Same problem. The app is empty after transferring to a new phone. Quitte badly stuck and unable to access Facebook or Messenger on the phone. Has anyone found a solution to this yet?
I have the same problem. I tried everything:
FreeOTP is always restored to the target iOS device BUT it never has any tokens inside T_T
Is this problem still reproducible ? @lalamover are you still unable to backup and restore tokens completely?

I was able to make it work on my iPhone 6s (iOS 14.5.1), so I'm guessing it's an iPad Air or iOS 12.X version issue.
Got a big problem just updated my phone and my Accounts are all gone
