There were a few regressions that this PR addresses:

Since we've switched to the FBX file format for storing meshes, the meshes needed to be set to readable so they are kept in the CPU memory and not purged after being uploaded to the GPU
The trough creation was removed. No idea why.

Fixes #416 and #415.
