Download Covers is broken! #151

Hi Everyone,

I am currently running Wiiflow R42 with cIOS249 V19 but have also tried
cIOS222 V5.

I know this problem has been reported but it seems to be getting ignored.
New covers have been broken since R25. Old covers that were downloaded
with R25 are still ok with newer versions. It does not matter if the games
are loaded on WBFS, FAT32, NTFS.

I downloaded the 3D .png image files myself from wiitdb.com. I cleared my
cache and boxcovers folders and copied my downloaded .png files to the
boxcovers folder. I find that these covers will display the first time but
the images are to small for the covers in Wiiflow. Once a cache file is
created for a cover, the covers are corrupted. The top part of the cover
is ok but the bottom is corrupt. The half corrupted cover is still two
small.

I would guess that the images are resized for Wiiflow after they are
downloaded. This is were the problem occurs. If I examine the resized
images in with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, they are corrupt and will
not display. It seems the problem is with the resizing after downloading.
Once this is fixed, I would guess that the cache files will be created
correctly.

I hope this will help shed some light on this problem so the developers
can fix it. Thanks...

Hi everyone,

Well my post is crap. I am wrong about the images getting resized. I was
downloading
the wrong .png files from wiitb.com. I now realize that wiiflow uses the HQ or
high
quality images. So I cleared my boxcovers and cache folders and manually
downloaded
the correct images again. Very interesting results.

When wiiflow is first started a cache file is created for each cover. All of
the
covers display correctly. However as soon as you flip through the covers, they
get
corrupted when they move to the current or middle position. If I exit the app
and
clear the cache folder again, then the covers display again. It would seem the
problem occurs when the cache files are created.

The .png files do not actually get corrupted as I originally thought. They
display
just fine with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

Sorry for any confusion my post might of caused...
