WBFS Error -1 when HDD not plugged in #166

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start WiiFlow without a HDD attached/powered on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of the "Plug in a HDD" screen, I get a WBFS Error (-1) and WiiFlow
says I should install some games.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r42, Wii 4.2E

Please provide any additional information below.
If you power on the HDD after this screen, you will get the WBFS error all
the time until you restart WiiFlow.

UPDATE: with r43, it gives me the "Plug in a HDD" screen, and it also displays
"Please wait..." - but then switches to the WBFS Error (-1) screen.

It isn't fixed for me. Maybe it's my hard drive.

May I suggest a setting on what it should do if there is a WBFS -1 error?
Return to Wii Menu, HBC, display error...

Whats the cIOS you using to boot wiiflow?
That's surelly the thing...

Have tested it many times with different devices. All connected as it
should...when they're not plugged in, it gave me the warning screen.

Waninkokos rev17 (249)
I know there's rev19, but I use TriiForce, which doesn't work with rev18/19 as
far as I know.

Something is wrong with your setup or something, Possibly you are booting from
a full channel that is not the latest rev? Because I cant find an error with
those exact words anywhere in the source.

Anyways, r91 changed the pathing for boot, maybe it helps.

Also, wiiflow is not designed to boot without a HDD attached, so this issue is
from "non-standard use", and since it is not able to be duplicated by me or any
of our testers, this issue will now be closed. Come on IRC if you want further
suggestion.
