ERROR 002 with hermes v4 #179

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Using 222 boot.dol of R43
system menu 4.2U
Waninkoko cios 19
Hermes cios v4
1TB hard drive in one partition as fat32

I have to have error 002 set to ON in order for any games to load.
I thought that error 002 was only needed for older cios revisions and not
the current ones i have installed.

If i turn error 002 off then every game loads the blue screen error 002
message.Turning it back ON fixes the issue and the games load

"I thought that error 002 was only needed for older cios revisions and not

cios249 12+ and Hermes v4+ patch error 002 natively, so the code was changed in
wiiflow
i beleive to match that. The "on" just lets the cios load it as it is, whereas
"off"
undoes the patch that the cios applies. This is necessary to retain the
ability to
disably the patch if future security measures from Nintendon't surface that
need it
disabled.

Also, rather than starting a bunch of tracker issues (dev's hate that), go o
the IRC
and talk to someone there first.

So it has to be set to ON then in order for any games to work?

it should always be ON in the global settings, which means "let the cios do it
how it
wants". You only need to turn it off in a specific game settings if you have
some
problem with it being on (most likely will never happen.)
