do a release upgrade #50

A new long term support release is available for our ubuntu host. We should create a list of affected machines and start upgrading.

Some of the current LTS machines use a HWE kernel that does not receive further updates. We should use another kernel there.

A new VM-Host and multiple VM's running Debian 10.x are currently being set up to replace the old VM host. By installing the new VM, there is no longer the need to do release upgrades.
