What is a backbone network, and if it, as I assume, has no endusers, why is there a need for a /16?
this is the vpn connection, that each router can create between routers or vpn servers. there are extra network interfaces that need an ip from different ip range to avoid ip conflicts. /16 is used, because it must match same size as routers main ip. it should'n be a problem, because new communities are using gluon or attach to already existing communities.
add ip range for backbone network. Ip is already added to wiki.freifunk.net.
