These fields are necessary to create a release like jessie-backports.

It seems like these should be per-distro configuration options rather than being global - however there's no such way to configure freight per-distro, so I guess it's fine.

I agree (although Origin and Label really ought to be as well - see jessie vs jessie-backports).

Absent support for per-distro configuration, we're just using different config files specified via the --conf parameter to the freight-add and freight-cache commands.
