"How to proceed" will vary by shipper. For example, some may allow the carrier to schedule the next available date/time and some may want the carrier to contact the facility before scheduling for the next available appointment. To accomodate, dock configuration settings allow a shipper to set a message that is visible to carriers when no appointment is available. These messages are free text with a character limit.
