Hi, are you planning on releasing this on PyPI?

frenzymadness commented 5 years ago

Hello.

No, I don't. This project is not mine and this repository was created just to help with Python 3 compatibility. And because my changes were merged back in 2017, I'm not working on it anymore.

The upstream of this project is here: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/libs/python/python-schedutils/python-schedutils.git/

May I ask you why you need this project on PyPI? AFAIK it is a part of RPM and DEB based Linux distributions. If you think that it might be useful to have it on PyPI as well, I can contact the upstream developers.

Hmm. Thanks for the explanation. I cant find it on openSUSE. https://software.opensuse.org/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&baseproject=ALL&q=schedutils

It is easier if it is on PyPI, as openSUSE packaging guidelines expect the package name is obtained from the PyPI registered name.

I think that the package reviewers can give an exception to module coming from kernel repositories.
