iOS requires two touches to set date #54

iOS 8, safari & chrome both require two touches to set the date, which feels very unresponsive

I did see this behavior in IOS 7.0.4 in Safari (haven't tested on Chrome) with the statusBar enabled such as on Demo#2. It worked for me with one tap when I removed the statusBar like in Demo#1. Seems like a definite bug.
