Doesn't have to be included here just sharing for anybody with a similar issue!

edit: Removed potentially problematic link

xmatthias commented 5 months ago

There's several Issues requesting this already, so this does not provide anything. It also doesn't provide any actual solution (to the potential security problems raised in the other isues), hence i'll close this as duplicate.

I've also removed your link as quite honestly - based on your interactions with this organization in the last few hours, i don't trust this link (or rather the code behind it) to not try and exploit the users, if not in it's current form - then with an update tomorrow.

You are very rude maintainer! I have been committing to this repo for years with bug fixes to broken sortino ratio etc. I love this project!

Clearly you do not care about other contributions. They must meet your standard. Your standard is not great for adding new features or for users.

My feature was just to use selenium to quickly add all your strategies into FreqUi because right now there is no code for that. If you wish to call it spam, then karma will eat you.

You did not - not to this repository, and not to the freqtrade repository. The "broken sortino ratio" pull request had several outstanding comments (like, don't use catchy language generated by a LLM) - to which you did no longer react - and was subsequently closed / rejected.

@keithorange you can call it rude - though the interactions you had during a very short period of time (a few hours) with the repositories in this github org did make you a non-trusted source for links. Unfortunately, this project operates in the crypto space, which is very prone to malicious activity trying to steal users funds - so it's always better to err on the side of caution.

It's not about the quality / standard - but about "do i trust the person / account that submitted a link to not try and steal from the users clicking it " (as explained above) - and in your case - that's currently simply not the case. This may change again in the future - but trust needs building - but can be destroyed in a few lines of text (which you did).

You've been warned in https://github.com/freqtrade/frequi/issues/1821#issuecomment-2041329451 in a very clear manner - continue in this way, and you'll be restricted from interacting with this repository. This also includes hidden insults (e.g. you're a rude maintainer - which i assume is intended to insult me).
