Dump Presidency bug #18

When I try to dump a company the share sales never occur. If I pass after trying, the company's stock decreases as though I sold the shares, and my money increases as though they were sold, but the shares never disappear nor does presidency transfer. Since the shares appear to still be in my possession I can try to do this multiple times, if I do, when my turn ends I will get money and affect the share value as though I sold those shares multiple times.

I would try and attach a save file, but I don't know if it would show the error, since each time I load a file where I have exploited this bug, I get the "Load Interrupted" error and it gives me an altered version of my game where people passed instead of trying to dump the company. Also, GitHub doesn't seem to want me to upload a .rails file. In light of this, I am also including an image of the game report showing multiple illegal sales.

Hello Martin,

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I am unsure how much help a save file will be, as rails 2.0 seems to ignore the nonsense dump attempts when reloading, causing them not to appear. So, I have taken a screen shot of my Game Report and Game Status on a new 1830 game where I replicated this error.

I encountered the error using rails-2.0.RC1_win.exehttps://sourceforge.net/projects/rails/files/Rails/2.0/rails-2.0.RC1_win.exe/download in Windows 7 and 10 in games of 1830. I only downloaded the rails-2.0.RC1_win.exehttps://sourceforge.net/projects/rails/files/Rails/2.0/rails-2.0.RC1_win.exe/download file, is there perhaps another file I need? I didn't think of this earlier, since everything else in the game plays perfectly.

YOu are sure thats 2.0 RC 1 ? as i saw on your screen shot rails-1.92 directories ?

In regard to the download location yes that would be the correct one. Sorry everything i tried went as intended (Sorry for you not the game :))

Hello Martin,

If you are able to use the "Dump Presidency" command to dump a company from one player to another in 1830, then the issue is probably just me. Which is weird, since I have had the problem in two different computers, but that probably means I am just doing something wrong.

I am sure that it rails 2.0 RC1, rails 1.9.2 is open because I am using it for the actual game I am playing, since 2.0 doesn't let me dump presidencies on other people and that could be an issue!
