Caught exception: TypeError: v1 has no properties
What's that likely to mean?
I haven't been able to track why I get this. When I try large data sets
(>4000 events) I get it, but I'm wondering whether there's something about
my data that's causing the problem.

It means there's some error in your data file. Try to load the XML file
directly in Firefox and see if Firefox complains.
