TIMELINE. in IE6, dragging off the timeline window, or past text within the timeline window, "selects" content #184

(1) If you click and drag within the window, then move the mouse up or down
and pass over text (like the text of an event on the timeline) the browser
"selects" the text, highlighting it in black, and you loose the drag of the
timeline. (2) if your drag crosses from one timeline band to another, you
loose the drag, and one of the bands becomes selcted. (3) if you click
within the timeline and drag outside of the timeline, parts of the timeline
and parts of the web page become highlighted. You loose the timeline drag
and moving the mouse around highlights different parts of the page. I
observed 2 people doing this and they became confused and frustrated. If
this could be avoided it would be a great UI improvement.

Seems to happen with every browser. This is unfortunately a show-stopper from a
usability standpoint...

I've just tried this in latest firefox. Dragging over text does highlight the
text but does not lose the drag. Losing drag when you leave a band might be a
feature: it would be very strange if your drag suddenly started happening at a
different scale.
