In the version "trunk" in subversion at the time of this note, when u click
on the white part of the bubble after clicking a event, it closes, leaving
no option to interact with the controls on the buble.

I am having the same problems in Camino and Safari Beta. I am also
currently using Simile Ajax API in order to utilize the filtering and
highlighting functionality.
I have timelines on three of my pages at http://calliesadventures.com. The
home page, which acts as a tool of displaying the blog archive, works fine
without any issues. The other two on the Life Snippets page and Our
Geocaching page. Safari Beta 3 crashes, and Camino won't keep the event
bubble open to interact with it.
It was at about the time when it rework the code to use the current trunk
for both the timeline api and ajax api that I noticed the problems.
