What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. E.g., connect a bunch of wires to the breadboard

Zoom to 100%
Try to identify which holes the wires are connected to..

This should designed with more attention to the detail. Some ideas:

Draw the wire ends as short, thin copper-colored lines
Draw the holes differently, maybe volcano-shaped, when something is connected to them
Use subtle color highlighting

I think that this has already been implemented. The connectors have green/red colour based on their status (connected/disconnected), which was the third alternative in the issue description: "Use subtle color highlighting"

This should be made configurable (in preferences) by at least a adding red / blue options

The color of connected/unconnected connections can already be configured in preferences. Is there any thing else to implement?
