Thanks for the detailed report, I appreciate it :) That shouldn’t happen. Device manager reports the wetest driver being installed for your device? Also, did you try unmounting the phone through iTunes?

Biginsane commented 5 months ago

no i didn’t. I’ll try that thanks

Incase you mean ejecting my phone from itunes and trying again, it gave probably the same error:

I have the exact same issue. Tried both installer bat files

fritzlb commented 4 months ago

If you’re on 17.4+ you can try using the lockdown tunnel: replace python -m pymobiledvice3 remote start-tunnel with python -m pymobiledevice lockdown start-tunnel Make sure to also upgrade pymobiledevice3 using pip, else the new tunnel isn’t supported. please note I didn’t test this but according to user reports it might work

LuigiHackFan commented 4 months ago

I got it working before. I restarted my phone and Reconnected it to my PC and it works once. I have to reconnect it again if I want it to work again

Hey! Windows 10. iPad Air 5th gen. iOS 17.2.

I tried a different JIT approach and it seemed to install wetest drivers, but it always said it wasn't connected: https://gist.github.com/nythepegasus/78c4f1474367a0fd4eef4c55a06cf919

So I gave yours a try and I still get a non-connected message like the one posted above. When I go to devices > Portable Devices > Apple iPad, it says the driver is Microsoft MTP USB Device? Altserver isn't open and I tried unmounting from within itunes and got the same error.

Any other information I can provide? Googling for "wetest drivers" isn't finding anything except sketchy "driver software" sites.

Thanks!
