Make the time that is counted as "without power" in line with the error margin #160

It seems like the Easee equalizer is reporting power in intervals of 3 to 5 minutes. This makes all the graphs red as they indicate that there is a lot of time without power reported.

An idea to handle this is to make the time that is reported as missing power dependent on the selected error margin. Then when selecting the equalizer for reporting the error-margin will automatically adjust to a higher value. Then the interval will not be reported as missing power.

In order to proceed I need an average value of the number of how often the Easee equalizer reports power

I have mostly red bars and was considering buying a new meter reader when I found your request. I'd love to help, but I'm not sure how. I enclosed a png of the last hour of power usage for my Equalizer.

Thank you. It would be awfully nice if you in the insights page download the raw-data for for Power and Meter, you can do this by right-clicking on the 3 dots next to where you select the Power/Meter as shown in the picture. image

If you can send me the data for both "the last hour" and "the last 6 hours" then that would be greatly appreciated. (the reason I ask for both is because the 6-hour data is not as accurate as the 1-hour data).

Hei Is the LIFETIME POWER IMPORT the one you want? I see no other kWh options. I'm hoping it can be the meter reader that is making PiggyBank not work for me as it estimates my hourly usage sky high no matter what. But I'm saving a shitload of money with PB, but that is mostly due to the fact that PB shuts down every device I add to it, even my 2 watt LED xmas ligth :-)

Thank you, I see from this that

Just for curiosity, what configuration options do you have in the settings for your meter reader? Is it possible to change the +/- delta that stops it from reporting?

It's quite clear that it has the mean to report more often because at least once in the timeframe it does change the power down and then up again in intervals of 5 seconds, but this time the delta was big....

If you cannot configure the delta then I can try to send a mail to the developer of the app and suggest some changes... (Edit: already done that)

Apart from that, can you check how well the hourly changes in the total lifetime data corresponds with the readings from elhub.no? Is it accurate? Then, if it's accurate, I would like to get two hourly dumps of the power and meter almost 1 hour apart (so they overlap a little), then I can feed my algorithm with it and see how accurate it meets the hourly power. I fear that this +/- non-reporting delta introduces some extra error.

Thank you for your support; much appreciated.

Enclosed it a png of the Equalizer settings. Not much to set there. Equalizer settings

I have also enclosed the Elhub csv file from 10DEC23. To me it looks like the Equalizer is overestimating. meteringvalues -10DEC23.csv

PB Insights is reporting an hourly energy usage three times the actual and hence shuts down all my devices even though I have tried using the next step in the hourly usage (10-15 kWh).
