Solved the issue with latest release. 👍 Thanks for the support on Wordpress Repository!
For anyone else experiencing a similar issue look at the WP thread 👉 https://wordpress.org/support/topic/whitelist-cloudflare-ip-ranges-or-add-cloudflare-bypass-rule/#post-12824358
Hi there, I set up your plugin today, and it's fantastic! The only issue I am experiencing, and its to do my setup, is I cannot whitelist my origin server's ip address because I am using cloudflare. I get this error message, when I add my origin servers ip to the Whitelist settings. ( A different IP shows up every time a connection is tested, due to cloudflare's reverse proxy, I think. )
"The remote website encountered the following error: Unauthorized access (invalid remote IP address 172.69.22.52)"
Is there a way to specify Cloudflare I.P. Ranges in the Whitelist Security setting of this plugin? https://www.cloudflare.com/ips-v4 (I added them as they were on this link). Perhaps I did it incorrectly?
Or do you think a better way to go about the issue of cloudflare's I.P. addresses is to create a bypass Firewall rule in cloudflare and add my origin servers IP addresses in the whitelist setting? https://developers.cloudflare.com/firewall/cf-firewall-rules/actions/
If I went the bypass route, I assume I would create a rule to bypass cloudflare's i.p.s for the /wprus endpoints https://website1.com/wprus/ https://website2.com/wprus/
I am a bit unsure if I am off base with the firewall rule.
