We are looking for front-end software engineers who are excited to focus on the client-side components of our client’s product, but also contribute to the server-side code. Working closely with their SRE team and other Engineers, you will be part of a collaborative culture striving to make data easy on a global scale by combining distributed databases with a beautiful user experience.

What you’ll do

Contribute to the growth of CockroachCloud by designing, building, and testing with a focus on the frontend. You bring your expertise and commitment to excellence to build a cloud database service that Makes Data Easy for everyone.
Develop in React/TypeScript on the client-side and Go on the server-side, but if you don't know them you'll learn while you're here.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to create strategic customer value.
Evolve our design system and frontend enablement processes to facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, marketing, and other stakeholders.

Remote, working full-time with a USA team from Brazil.

Mandatory skills:

Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Passion for building beautiful user experiences that help people succeed in their jobs.
Experience developing web applications using JavaScript.
Experience implementing user interfaces using technologies like HTML, CSS and React.
Experience working with Typescript
An understanding of how to build cross-browser compatible experiences.
Experience driving architecture and technology discussions, as well as assisting peers with challenging tasks.

Nice-to-have

Experience with backend languages like Go, Java, or Python.
Experience with modern JS frameworks such as Vue.js or Angular.

Non-technical skills:

Experience building collaborative relationships with your colleagues. You enjoy being part of the code review process and partnering with your teammates on challenging problems.
Ability to openly communicate, while still doing it respectfully
High autonomy and ability to start and drive projects independently
