Author name should go into author, and just the email should go into author_email, otherwise various mailto: link URLs will be (arguably) malformed.

Also, there is package metadata in both pyproject.toml and in setup.py. They don't completely agree, and, at least in the case of author and author_email, the setup.py data appears to be winning. Can the setup.py just be deleted or be converted to a stub at this point?
