Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. #26

Hi, I got the following syntax error when I try to activate the plugin: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /wp-content/plugins/wp2moodle/wp2m.php on line 187 Using wordpress verion 4.4.2. , I thought that problem with wordpress version so upgraded to version 4.5 and still have the same problem. PHP Version 5.3.29 and MySQL Version 5.5.48-cll

The strange thing that seven months ago I used the plugin and it is working perfect till now on another domain, would really appreciate if you could help me.

Are you using woocommerce or marketpress? are you running wordpress on a linux or windows server? is the server apache or some other system like litespeed?

Thank you for your quick reply. I am not using woocommerce or marketpress. I am using "Freedom" free theme, wordpress running on linux and the server is Apache Version 2.2.29
